WEEK 1

Mon, April 4	7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Woke up and drove to Sheltering Arms 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Arrived at Sheltering Arms and met with the volunteer director who went over the background, rules, and assigned Devyn and I to certain classrooms 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Teachers helper for nine 1-2 year olds 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch break 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Returned to Sheltering Arms and was introduced to the new classroom with eight Pre-K students (4-5 year olds). 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Gave the kids a snack 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Played outside with the kids on the playground 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Returned home 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Blogged, logged, uploaded pictures/videos, edited and played around with the design of my website Hours for Day: 8.5 hours
Tues, April 5	8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Arrived at Sheltering Arms and went into the same room with the one and two year olds 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Played outside 9:15 AM - 10:00 AM: Went through their morning routine (ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.) 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Playtime inside 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Arts and crafts 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Fed the kids lunch and put them down for their nap 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM: Helped Beth, the head of volunteers with a function (rolled silverware and put bows on them) 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Lunch/Nap 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Researched about oncology (since Thursday we are shadowing a pediatric oncology nurse) 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Blogged and tried to post my blog but nothing was working Hours for Day: 8.5
Wed, April 6	8:30 AM: Arrived at Sheltering Arms and went into the same room with the one and two year olds 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Morning routine, played inside, arts and crafts 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Fed the kids lunch and helped them get ready for their na 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Bought supplies for Belize 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Played outside 3:00 PM - 4:15 PM: Colored on eggs and made flowers out of paper 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM: Head teacher left and we played with the kids until their parents came 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM: filled out paperwork, blogged and tried to post my blog and log but nothing was working, and continued to research oncology a little bit Hours for Day: 9.5
Thu, April 7	10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Got ready and arrived at Scottish Rite, Children's Hospital 11:45 AM - 12:20 PM: Sat in the lobby of the hospital freaking out 12:20 PM - 4:30 PM: Shadowed Caitlin, a pediatric oncology registered nurse 10:00 PM - 11:30 PM: blogged and tried to post my log but nothing was working... again Hours for Day: 6.5 hours
Fri, April 8	9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Researched the orphanage 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Researched Belize (location and culture) 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM: Blogged for today and FINALLY got blog to work so I entered all of my blogs for the week to catch up Hours for Day: 3 hours

WEEK 2

Mon, Apr 11	6:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Woke up and went to the airport 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Ate breakfast and waited to board the plane 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Boarded the plane *now switching to the time in Belize (2 hours earlier) 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Went through customs and A Broader View volunteer met us and took us to the orphanage 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Tour of the orphanage, Ladyville (the village), and bought water at a local store 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Mopped and swept the daycare, folded and made the beds after the kids woke up 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Played with the kids in daycare until their parents came and got them 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Played soccer and basketball with the kids once they got back from school 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Ate dinner 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Played basketball and talked with the kids after we ate dinner 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Shower 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: logged and blogged Hours for Day: 6.5 hours
Tues, Apr 12	6:00 AM - 6:30 AM: Woke up and got ready for the day 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM: Helped set up for breakfast and ate breakfast 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Walked the children to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive (.5) 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Played with the kids in the daycare 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Went to the store 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Helped teach the kids in the pre school 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Went to Sky and ate lunch/went to the supermarket 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Researched about Belize and places to travel 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Played with the kids once they arrived from school and helped them with their homework until dinner time 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Helped set up for dinner and ate with the kids 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM: Blogged and logged Hours for Day: 12 hours

Wed, Apr 27	5:00 AM - 5:30 AM: Woke up and went to Grady hospital 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM: Sat in a meeting listening to the new overnight ER patients 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM: Split up into groups based on different fields and discussed the update on patients in ICU 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Went in the ER after getting an emergency call about a man shot 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM: Went to the surgery clinic 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Lunch and senior talent show 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: logged and blogged Hours for day: 9 hours

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Tried to post all of the logs and blogs but technology difficulties again so I wrote final reflection and everything on word documents and gathered for an easy email to post on another computer

7:00 PM - 2:00 AM: Finalized presentations with Devyn, created video, and wrote a script for presentations
